Festival Date: 6 June, 2025 Venue: Kingston upon Thames

CIFF 2025 aims to be the largest Children’s Film Festival in the UK. Our mission is to empower and inspire children to bring their creativity into the world.
Having successfully joined forces to bring primary school filmmakers and their families to the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) in 2023 and 2024, Ciné Schools and the team behind KIFF have expanded this year's young filmmaker programme of events in Kingston this June. As part of the 2025 Kingston International Film Festival, this day of workshops and screenings, aimed at under 16s, will form the inaugral Children’s International Film Festival (CIFF).

Our event will showcase films submitted from all over the world so children can see their creations on the big screen, in cinemas. The Children’s International Film Festival (CIFF) is supported and championed by key stakeholders across the film industry.
Not only will the Festival live and thrive in its host town, but we intend to stream our awards ceremony to class rooms all over the world and share films created by children with other young filmmakers unable to travel to be with us on the day.
Film enriches lives. We want to foster this inate desire in children to make something wonderful and fun and to share this. We want to open these young hearts and minds to the power of film making.
They are filmmakers.
