Having successfully joined forces to bring primary school filmmakers and their families to the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) over the past two years, Ciné Schools and the team behind KIFF are bringing a young filmmaker programme of events to Kingston this June. As part of the 2025 Kingston International Film Festival, this day of workshops and screenings, aimed at under 16s, will form the Children’s International Film Festival (CIFF).
With the support of Kingston Council, CIFF will showcase young filmmaking talent from all over the world. The programme of events will see films from the Americas, Europe and Asia shown on the big screen for the first time. Alongside these screenings will be a programme of events for schools to bring classes. They will provide these young people with the opportunity to experience filmmaking first hand and build their skills in the screen arts.
A host of industry leading Friends are working to schedule and deliver a never seen before experience for children from across London and beyond. In addition, the films and main events from the day will be streamed into classrooms for schools who can’t be there in person.
Screenings will be open to the public and tickets will be on sale from early April.
For schools wishing to attend the workshops please reach out to info@ciffest.org to find out more and register your interest.
