Gala Awards Presenters Confirmed!

And what an incredible line up it is!

We are so fortunate to have such an incredible line up of presneters joining us on Friday, June 6th in Kingston to present the inaugral Children's International Film Festival awards. Here they are:

BFI Future Film and London Film Festival Award Winning Director Simi Akande will be presenting the award for International Film of The Year. This award will champion the works of young filmmakers from outside the UK.

BAFTA Craft Awards nominated Composer, for her score on Netflix's Heartstopper, Adiescar Chase will be presenting the Soundtrack of the Year Award.

Super experienced stunt and fight co-ordinator team Tola Bishi and Dan Styles will be presenting the award for Shot of the Year. This award will be awarded to the crew that created the most original shot, taking into account the techniques available as well as the subject and scene.

Star of Mary Poppins Returns (2018), and now a regular in ITV's Unforgotten (2025), actress Pixie Davies, will be presenting the Performance of the Year award, for excellence in front of camera.

International Production Designer and award winning Art Director, David Bryan will present the award for Production Design of the Year, for excellence in set design and creative thinking, helping to bring the film to life in line with its theme and storyline.

Waterstone's Children's Laureate, author and screen writer Frank Cottrell-Boyce will present the Star of The Year. This is an award that chmpions an individual who has fully embraced filmmaking, thrown themselves into it completely and pushed themselves out of their comfort zone.
