Source Park in Hastings will play host to CIFF2026 workshops

The World’s largest underground skatepark will welcome children from local schools to explore what is involved in filming extreme sports.

This introduction session will introduce groups from schools to the exciting world of extreme sports filming. We are also hoping that Source Park will be able to put on a live BMX display as part of the sessions, bringing to life the challenges of filming sports that are both unpredictable and happening at speed.

“The Source Park has been an important part of our local children and young people’s community for over 10 years. Hosting a workshop here as part of the Children’s International Film Festival will offer participants something completely unique. Once again, showcasing that the building has plenty of uses, especially in supporting the community,” said Matt Brown, Retail Director Source BMX.

Source Park was built by riders and is still run by an experienced BMX team. Situated under the seafront of Hastings, The Source Park is the world's largest underground Skatepark. The park houses two Source shops, two skate parks, and is home to renowned international BMX event “Battle of Hastings”.
